Hi there!
This is a self-help blog. Yes, you read that right – a blog to help the self, as in my self. I have no intention of telling you what to do with your life and I don’t want to give you advice on getting your life together because I’m not at all qualified to do so, being the anxious carrot that I am. I started writing blog posts for the sole purpose of helping me cope with life, so my blog is in fact a tool to pursue a rather selfish goal.
Nevertheless, I find joy in writing and maybe, just maybe, some of you will recognise yourselves in my posts and therefore feel less alone.
Loneliness and the feeling of not belonging are the reasons that led me to write down my thoughts in the first place.
Why “Carrot Days”, you ask? A good friend of mine suggested this in reference to the Shakespearean expression “salad days”, which means the following according to Wikipedia:
“Salad days” is a Shakespearean idiomatic expression meaning a youthful time, accompanied by the inexperience, enthusiasm, idealism, innocence, or indiscretion that one associates with a young person.
Also, the colour of my hair used to match the one of a carrot when I was a kid and the word “carrot” and my actual name have a lot of letters in common š.
That being said, feel free to leave me a comment or, in case you believe this is utter nonsense, simply leave my page. Seriously, no need to be mean on the internet (or anywhere else really) – if you don’t like it, just don’t read it.
Thanks for bearing with me.
Love,
Carrot
